Prior to the First Vice President's speech, Morteza Bank, Advisor to the President and Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free and Special Economic Zones, in a report on production boom plans in free trade, industrial and special economic zones, pointed to the extent of investment and large private sector presence, and separation of the best projects under construction and said: 310 projects in the fields of trade, industry, agriculture and tourism will be operational in these areas by 1400, which will create jobs for more than 66,000 people.
Emphasizing on policy for production , strengthening infrastructure and increasing exports in the programs of the Secretariat of the High Council of Free Zones, Morteza Bank announced the attraction of 325 million Euros of foreign capital to advance these projects and said: In the last seven years, the free trade zones level has been positive and we have six billion dollars of non-oil exports to foreign countries.
He referred to the performance of the free zones in advancing the programs of the resistance economy and said: Of the targets identified in the free zones, 191 percent were achieved in knowledge-based activities, 102 percent in attracting foreign investment, 106 percent in product development, and 96 percent in export development.
In this meeting, which was attended by the Ministers of Economic Affairs and Finance, Roads and Urban Development, Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism, the window of the service unit of free and special economic zones was unveiled.
This window aims to develop e-government through performance transparency, ease of access to services, integration of work processes and improving the quality of service delivery.
In this meeting, the transactions of the organizations of free trade-industrial zones, limited amendment of the comprehensive plan of Hamadan Special Economic Zone, comprehensive plan of Zarandieh Special Economic Zone, comprehensive plan of Bam new citadel economic zone and comprehensive plan of Mehran special economic zone were approved by the members.
Also, the appointment of the auditor and legal inspector of Chabahar Free Trade-Industrial Zone Organization, the plan of acquiring capital assets of Qeshm Free Zone and amending the calculation method and receiving urban tolls in free zones were approved.
