According to Public Relations and International Affairs of Qeshm Free Zone Organization, Mohammad Mehdi Berenji said: This amount of Qeshm export products is related to the first six months of this year, and it is expected that export figures for the second half of the year will increase beyond the first six months as the number of industrial units increases.
Currently, 197 manufacturing companies operate in the four industrial towns of Tula, Fajr, Kaveh, and Souza, which exporting manufactured products of 20 of them.
The Director of Industry, Mine and Production Facilities of Qeshm Free Zone Organization said: Dried fish, zinc ingots, gas analyzers, metal Floats, perfume, cement and clinker, cigarettes, polyethylene Compound, fish, and shrimp are the major export products of Qeshm Free Zone.
He said: manufactured Products in Qeshm industrial units are exported to the United Arab Emirates, Somalia, Pakistan, Sharjah and other free zones of country.
Berenji announced that two new companies are being built in the area, with the recruitment of 541 workers, and added: Seven companies, with an eighty-five percent advance, and recruiting more than seventy people, will be operational by the end of this year.
According to him, during the past four and a half years, during the time of presence of Hamid Reza Momeni as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Qeshm Free Zone Organization, 98 Operation licenses have been issued to economic activists, that 58 of which with a capital of 8,000 Million dollar and capital of over 7300 billion rials, provided by the private sector, in various manufacturing and industrial sectors by providing employment opportunities for 1068 indigenous and non-indigenous people.
According to the report, there are currently five companies with a population of 2,800 workforce in various manufacturing and industrial sectors in Qeshm Free Zone, and With the completion of three industrial units under construction, the number of manufacturing units will increase to 227, and the workforce of these companies will increase to 5360.
